Several Regional awards will be presented at the awards luncheon, scheduled for 12:00 PM on Friday, October 26. The awards include:
1.) ACS Division of Chemical Education Southeast Region Award for Excellence in High School Teaching:

2.) The Volunteer Services Award: The purpose of the Regional Award for Volunteer Service is to recognize the volunteer efforts of individuals who have served the American Chemical Society, contributing significantly to the goals and objectives of the Society through their Regional Activities.

Ruth Woodall
Memphis, TN

3.) The Stan Israel Award for Advancing Diversity in the Chemical Science: The purpose of this award is to recognize individuals and/or institutions that have advanced diversity in the chemical sciences and significantly stimulated or fostered activities that promote inclusiveness with in the region.

4.) ACS Regional Industrial Innovation Awards Program (RIIA): This award is sponsored by the ACS Corporation Associates and celebrates the successful innovations of industrial chemists and chemical engineers that contribute to the health of their local and regional economy and the corporate leadership for its advancement of a healthy economy. Awards are given to individuals and teams whose creative innovations have contributed to the commercial success of their company and, consequently, to the good of the community and society.

5.) The Region will also recognize the outstanding ACS student affiliate chapters in the Southeast Region.
